Grumbalina book series Toys & Marketing

 

Grumbalina, a series of children’s books by Karina Frederiks, required extensive marketing, print, as well as toys for its initial launch. Neither I or the client had much experience in toy design. But we took on the challenge of creating figurines, dolls, backpacks and wands. These designs must be sturdy, but also support the expressive features of the characters.

On the marketing side, the challenge was to create a cohesive world across a number of mediums spanning digital, print, and environmental.
